ASK Events
Critter Camp
Critter Camp is one of the highlights of summer for all those who participate. Two weeks of animals and activities led by teachers is fun and educational and many children come back each year. The event began in 2010 and has featured snakes, cows, llamas, dogs, cats, hawks, owls, foxes, and even a baby zebra. The camp is held at the Western Riverside shelter, 6851 Van Buren Blvd., Jurupa Valley.
Park 'n' Bark
Our good friends at the Inland Empire Classic Mustang Club for many years have hosted the Park n Bark car show/fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting the ASK Foundation. Cars of all shapes, sizes, colors and years fill the parking lot at the Western Riverside shelter. Beautiful sets of wheels, live music and food make for a fun and busy day. Dogtoberfest
Dogtoberfest at Harley-Davidson Riverside is full of fun, games and adoptions and all funds raised benefit the ASK Foundation.
Shimmy for Critters
Shimmy for Critters brought bellydancing beauties to the Riverside shelter and raised money for the ASK Foundation. The event featured dancing, music, a drum circle, vendors, a raffle and special adoption rates. Shimmy for Critters was founded by Marilyn Chocron, a longtime bellydancer and supporter of homeless animals who died in 2013.
Mission Inn Run
In 2013 ASK Foundation provided the first-ever "Pup Tent" for the Mission Inn Run. Dogs could quench their thirst and get free treats during the event, an annual fall fundraiser for the Mission Inn Foundation. The Mission Inn Foundation preserves the cultural heritage of the Mission Inn, Riverside, and surrounding southern California communities through its museum, programs and activities.
